GeDunk

GeDunk was the agency’s latte stand which has been located in the USS Turner Joy Gift Shop on the boardwalk in downtown Bremerton, WA. It has now moved and is temporarily not in service. We apologize to our customers who might have tried to visit us there! But Not To Worry! We will be re-opening in the near future at another location and with our former name, Peninsula Perk.

We look forward to once again serving the thirsty public and our participants in this successful work training site for persons with disabilities, some very severe.

Motivated adults who have learned appropriate work behavior and basic skills in other Peninsula Services’ programs can have the opportunity to take another step toward independent, community-based employment.

When it re-opens, participants at Peninsula Perk will receive valuable experience working with the public, will study for and obtain food-handler permits, learn the preparation of a wide variety of beverages and practice money handling skills.

In addition to the USS Turner Joy location, participants at this mobile site have served employees and visitors of the WorkSource offices on Sylvan Way, and the Division of Developmental Disabilities and Frances Hadden Morgan Center, both in Bremerton.

Customers have said they are pleasantly surprised by the wonderful service and high quality beverages they find at the stand and the participants gain confidence and skills in a supportive working environment.

Please look for the Grand Re-Opening of Peninsula Perk soon! Our participants, the friendliest baristas in town, anticipate the opportunity to serve you, and all proceeds from sales help fund programs for persons with disabilities in Kitsap County.

Thank You!
