About Us
| Our HISTORY Peninsula Services was established in 1971 by a group of concerned parents seeking residential services for their adult children with special needs. Since then, the agency has evolved from a residential facility into a non-profit United Way agency reaching throughout the Puget Sound region. Peninsula Services is committed to providing quality comprehensive vocational, social and life enriching experiences to adults with a wide range of disabilities and challenges. Persons of all abilities are given the opportunity to grow, to set and achieve personal goals. Our PHILOSOPHY
PROGRAMS offered by the agency are based on the belief that persons with disabilities grow and develop as do all persons; that persons with disabilities can work and want to work; and should be provided with support that accentuates the individual’s talents, choice, respect and dignity in pursuing life options. PENINSULA SERVICES exists for the purpose of providing social, vocational and life enriching experiences which allow persons the opportunity to grow, to achieve personal goals and to maximize their potential. PENINSULA SERVICES is nationally recognized for its many achievements by NISH, was chosen as Kitsap County’s Greenworks Company of the Year and is currently accredited through CARF.
