Peninsula Services was established in 1971 by a group of concerned
parents seeking residential services for their adult children with
special needs. Since then, the agency has evolved from a residential
facility into a non-profit United Way agency reaching throughout the
Puget Sound region.
Our MISSION is to provide employment opportunities and
work training to persons with disabilities.
Programs offered by the agency are based on the belief that persons with
disabilities have the same needs to grow and devlop,
and that they can and want to work. Everyone should be provided with
opportunities that accentuates talents, choice, respect and dignity.
PENINSULA SERVICES is nationally recognized for its many achievements by
SourceAmerica (previously NISH) and is accredited by CARF.
AllShred, our document destruction project, was awarded the
“Excellence in Recycling” Award for Earth Day 2011
and was chosen as Kitsap County’s Greenworks Company of the Year.
Staff & Board of Directors members have been awarded Humanitarian,
Employee, and Professional of the Year from the ARC.
Our CEO was chosen as Bremerton Rotarian of the Year for 2004 and a
2006 YWCA Woman of Achievement.
Peninsula Services is proud to be an AbilityOne provider,
a United Way affiliate and EEO/ADA compliant.
